We have exciting news to share about upcoming events happening soon at The Stitch Niche!  Read on to find out the details and put the dates on your calendar -- you won't want to miss them!

Anzula Yarns Trunk Show -- Anzula Yarns is in the area this week, so we have been able to arrange a last-minute trunk show this Tuesday, July 26, 12:00-2:00 PM.  If you missed them when they were here in October, you will  want to take advantage of this second opportunity.  If you were one of the many that shopped and purchased their beautiful yarns last time, you now have the opportunity to get some more gorgeous goodies.  They will be bringing their suitcases packed full of their hand dyed yarns for your shopping pleasure.  There will be models knitted in each of the yarns, and pattern binders will be available.  Pictures of their lovely products are available on our Facebook page.  Grab an energy bar on Tuesday, and spend your lunch hour shopping the Anzula Trunk Show!

I-75 Yarn  Crawl -- Do you love to visit yarn shops?  Do you want to have a chance at amazing door prizes?  Do you like to see special trunk shows and take advantage of special promotions?  Are you ready for a ROAD TRIP???  If so, then you want to take part in the I-75 Yarn Crawl!  The crawl begins on Tuesday, August 9 and concludes on Sunday, August 14.

39 different shops up and down interstate I-75 are participating in this year's yarn crawl.  Each shop is offering incentives for visiting, including the above mentioned trunk shows and door prizes.  The more shops you visit, the more chances you have to win special prizes offered to all crawl participants, as well as prizes offered at the individual yarn shops.  Drawings will be held for the following prize categories (one winner per category):  Road Warrior Grand Prize: Visit ALL of the yarn shops on the list; Northern Exposure Prize: Visit the 13 most northern shops on the list; Southern Comfort Prize:  Visit the 13 most southern shops on the list; Stuck in the Middle Prize:  Visit the 13 centrally located shops on the list; Northern Dipper Prize:  Visit the shops located in the north AND central regions; Southerly Wind Prize:  Visit the shops located in the south AND central regions; North and South Prize:  Visit the shop that is the farthest north and the farthest south; Short on Time Prize:  Visit the shop you designated on your passport purchase and two others (Multiple winners will be drawn in this category.).

In order to participate, you must purchase a passport.  Passports can be purchased on the official web site (thei75yarncrawl.com) by clicking on "Purchase your passport here," then "Click here to purchase your passport," then on the red "2016 I-75 Yarn Crawl Passport" link.  On the next page, click on the drop down menu and select The Stitch Niche as the shop where you would like to pick up your passport.  Your passport will actually be mailed directly to you rather than to the shop, but you still need to designate us as your local shop.  You can then proceed with purchasing your passport ($5.00) with a credit card through Pay pal.  We have a listing of all of the participating shops that we will give all passport holders so that you can better plan your trip strategy!  Since passports are being mailed, you will need to purchase one ASAP in order to allow time for mail delivery.

We are planning several special shipments of inventory for the crawl, and will even have an exclusive special colorway dyed for purchase only at The Stitch Niche!  We designed a yarn color that would reflect the beauty of the horse farms here in central Kentucky, a combination of greens and blues, accented with browns representing the horses and yellow for our state flower, the goldenrod.  Zen Yarn Garden is dyeing the yarn for us using one of their fingering weight silk and cashmere blends.  Our first shipment of our exclusive color will be limited to 60 skeins, so don't wait too long to visit us!

We will have special business hours during the crawl.  In addition to our regular hours on Tuesday through Friday, we will be open until 6:00 PM on Saturday, August 13, and will be open from 1:00-6:00 PM on Sunday, August 14.  Pack your snacks and bottles of water, grab a friend (or several) and hit the road on August 9 for a fun time!
